We're a social club for people who love to have a good time. The kind where you learn something new, laugh a lot, and somehow end up staying longer than you planned.
Every event is thoughfully curated with beautiful designer tablescapes and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to relax, connect and enjoy yourself.
We've had the pleasure of hosting events at some of our Central Coast's most beautiful venues, including Carmel Valley Ranch, The Beach & Tennis Club at Pebble Beach, Cypress Grove Wine Tasting, Gold Leaf Spice & Teas, TPC Monterey at Pasadera, and Corral de Tierra Country Club.

Hi, I'm Nakelle.
I'm the one who shows up to a golf tournament and adds a dance floor.
Founder of The Fitz Social — a gathering place for people who love to play, connect, and linger a little longer at the table.

I've always been drawn to bringing people together. Raising daughters and years of leadership, coaching, and community work shaped how deeply I believe in the power of connection.
When I chair a golf tournament, I'm always the one adding bocce, darts, or a dance floor. Yes, everyone here golfs — but what else can we do together? That instinct is at the heart of everything I create.
I discovered mahjong in early 2024, and what started as teaching a few friends quickly became something far bigger and far more meaningful than I ever anticipated. I watched people connect around the table in a way that felt rare and real. I knew immediately this was more than a hobby.
What's coming
Mahjong is where we started, and it's not going anywhere. But if you're curious where The Fitz Social is headed — think cribbage nights, Rummikub tournaments, needlepoint evenings, and a full social calendar worth actually looking forward to.
The kind of evenings where you put your phone down and just be there. We're building toward that, one gathering at a time.
How we teach
At The Fitz Social, learning mahjong is meant to be fun, social, and completely approachable.

We begin with game history, an introduction to the tiles, how to read the card, and the basics of game play. From there, we teach in a relaxed, layered way that allows players to build confidence one step at a time.

Our goal is to create connection, spark curiosity, and deliver plenty of "aha!" moments.
Whether you're learning with lifelong friends or meeting new ones around the table, you'll leave with a foundation for the game  and a desire to play again.
