We're a social club for people who love a good evening out. The kind where you learn something, laugh a lot, and somehow end up staying longer than you planned.
Every gathering is put together with care — beautiful tablescapes, a warm room, good drinks, and an energy that makes it easy to relax and just enjoy yourself. We've had the pleasure of hosting events at some wonderful spots around the Central Coast, including Carmel Valley Ranch, The Beach & Tennis Club at Pebble Beach, Cypress Grove Wine Tasting, and Corral de Tierra Country Club.
The game gives everyone something to do.
The atmosphere gives everyone a reason to come back.
From the very beginning, the vision for The Fitz Social has always been bigger than any one game — a place where people gather, try something new, and leave feeling more connected than when they arrived.

Hi, I'm Nakelle.
I'm the one who shows up to a golf tournament and adds a dance floor.
Founder of The Fitz Social — a gathering place for people who love to play, connect, and linger a little longer at the table.

I've always been drawn to bringing people together. Years of leadership, coaching, and community work — alongside raising four incredible daughters and our rescue pup, Sadie — shaped how deeply I believe in the power of a good gathering.
When I chair a golf tournament, I'm always the one adding bocce, darts, or a dance floor. Yes, everyone here golfs — but what else can we do together? That instinct is at the heart of everything I create.
I discovered mahjong in January 2024, and what started as teaching a few friends quickly became something far bigger and far more meaningful than I ever anticipated. I watched people connect around the table in a way that felt rare and real. I knew immediately this was more than a hobby.
What's coming
Mahjong is where we started, and it's not going anywhere. But if you're curious where The Fitz Social is headed — think cribbage nights, Rummikub tournaments, needlepoint evenings, and a full social calendar worth actually looking forward to.
The kind of evenings where you put your phone down and just be there. We're building toward that, one gathering at a time.
How I teach
Slowly, on purpose, with a lot of practice built in. I want you to leave feeling like you actually got it — not like you survived a crash course.
No prior experience needed. No intimidation. Just a fun evening where you pick up something new and probably meet someone you'll want to play with again.
