Welcome to The Fitz Social ("we," "us," or "our"). By visiting our website at thefitzsocial.com, purchasing tickets, booking a party, using a gift card, or participating in any of our classes or events, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our website or services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or have the consent of a parent or guardian) and that you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

 

2. Our Services

The Fitz Social offers the following services:

• Mahjong classes for beginners and intermediate players

• Private party bookings (mahjong-themed gatherings)

• Social events and group play sessions

• Gift cards redeemable for any of the above

 

We reserve the right to modify, add, or discontinue any service at any time without prior notice.

 

3. Reservations & Ticket Purchases

Classes and events have limited capacity and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. By completing a purchase, you agree to the following:

• All sales are final unless otherwise stated in our cancellation policy below.

• You are responsible for providing accurate contact information at the time of booking.

• Event details, including location and timing, will be confirmed in your booking confirmation email.

 

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the event start time are eligible for a full refund or credit toward a future event.

• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event start time are non-refundable.

• No-shows are non-refundable.

• If The Fitz Social cancels or reschedules an event, registered attendees will be notified promptly and offered a full refund or credit.

 

To request a cancellation, please contact us directly through our website or Instagram prior to the applicable deadline.

 

5. Private Party Bookings

Private party bookings may require a deposit at the time of reservation. Specific terms for private events, including minimum guest counts, payment schedules, and cancellation windows, will be outlined in a separate booking agreement provided at the time of booking. In the event of a conflict between that agreement and these Terms, the booking agreement will govern.

 

6. Gift Cards

Gift cards purchased through The Fitz Social are subject to the following terms:

• Gift cards have no expiration date.

• Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

• Gift cards may be used toward any class, event, or party booking.

• The Fitz Social is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged gift cards.

• Gift card balances cannot be transferred to another person without our consent.

 

7. Code of Conduct

The Fitz Social is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants. By attending any class or event, you agree to:

• Treat all instructors, staff, and fellow participants with respect

• Follow instructions provided by The Fitz Social staff

• Refrain from disruptive, harassing, or inappropriate behavior

 

We reserve the right to remove any participant from a class or event without refund if their conduct is deemed disruptive or harmful to others.

 

8. Assumption of Risk

Participation in our classes and events is voluntary. While our activities are low-risk in nature, by attending you acknowledge that you participate at your own risk and release The Fitz Social, its instructors, and staff from any liability for personal injury, property damage, or loss arising from your participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

 

9. Photography & Media

The Fitz Social may photograph or record classes and events for use on our website and social media. By attending, you grant us permission to use your likeness in such materials. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify us before the event begins and we will accommodate your request.

 

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, graphics, and event materials, is the property of The Fitz Social and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without our express written permission.

 

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Fitz Social shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or participation in our services. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

 

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

 

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in California.
